One clarification should be added here. Carter Conlon believes in the eternal security of the soul, which is scriptural. What he is saying in essence is this:
They way you know if you are indeed saved (at least one of the ways) is when you are immediately convicted of your sin. If you feel conviction over your sin, then thank God, for that means God is in you and doing the convicting.
BUT…if you sin and feel nothing. No remorse. No conviction over your sin, then you are in serious trouble. The world will not feel remorse for their sin because the world is dead.
How can you appreciate the grace of God unless you appreciate the wrath of God?
Many have heard about the love of the Lamb, but what about the severity of the Lamb?
Do you fear God? Or do you tolerate Him?
Many people are told about the grace of God, but are never told about the wrath of God.
You cannot appreciate the grace of God until you fear Him.
Are you willing to sacrifice as much time and energy for God’s purposes? Are you willing to pray? Intercede? Give? Love?
God wants a people who refuse to put value on their lives, but place value where it belongs. On Him.
